I read “Thumbelina” by Hans Andersen. It was published by Penguin
Readers.
The women, who
wanted child went to the old woman. The old woman knows about magic. She told the
woman that “plant this magic flower in a small box and wait” A woman went home
and put this magic flower in the box. Next day, this flower opened and there
was a baby girl inside the flower. She was a lovely girl, but she was very
small. The woman called the lovely girl Thumbelina. One night, Thumbelina was
asleep when a big and ugly toad jumped onto the table next to Thumbelina. “She
is very beautiful. I want her to marry my son.” She took flower and Thumbelina
and down into the garden. It was start of her grief. First, She lived as ugly
toad’s wife, but her flower bet was pot in the river, because toad prevent from
getting away. One day, a kind fish pushed her flower and moved down the river.Next,
the little bird in the tree saw her and helped her. Unfortunately, bird’s
friends don’t like her, so Thumbelina was took down from tree and put her on
the flower. Poor Thumbelina lived here for a long time. Third, the field mouse
helped her, but she suggested Thumbelina marry with mouse’s friend mole. The
mole was rich, but he doesn’t like the sun, so she maybe never seen the
beautiful flower and sun. One day Thumbelina helped moribund bird. To help her
helps, the bird recovered.
When she married
with mole, that bird helped her and carried her warm country. Finally, she
would be free! She meet prince of little people, and they fall in love each
other. They lived same flower. She would be fortunate parson.
